MyKey is free up to 50 passwords, and every safety feature is included in the free version. The licence removes the count limit. That is the whole deal.

Security is never the paid part. The free version is the same vault, the same encryption, the same backups.
How the licence works
After payment, we email you a licence key. Paste it into MyKey once, on any device. The key is kept inside your encrypted vault, so it travels with your vault to your other devices — one purchase covers them all, up to 20 connections in total.
The key is signed by us and checked inside the app. MyKey never phones home: there is no activation server, and the app keeps working offline, forever, whether or not this website exists.
If you already have more than 50 passwords in a vault, nothing is ever locked away from you. Your vault opens, reads, exports, and syncs as always — adding new passwords is what waits for a licence.

The patron tip (optional)
If MyKey earns its keep and you want to support its development, there is an optional tip of US$5 a month (or US$3). It unlocks nothing and changes nothing in the app. It is simply a thank-you, and we are grateful for it.
Checkout opens at launch
Online checkout is being switched on as the public launch completes. Until then, the apps are free to download and use — up to 50 passwords, with every safety feature — and nothing about your vault changes when checkout opens.
